Southern Connecticut State University’s men’s and women’s outdoor track & field programs have done it again.
The Owls captured both titles at the 2026 Northeast-10 Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, continuing one of the most dominant runs in conference history.
The women’s team secured its third consecutive NE10 Outdoor Championship, scoring 269 points — more than 100 ahead of second-place Saint Anselm. The men extended their dynasty with a ninth straight outdoor title and 22nd overall, totaling 291 points to finish well ahead of the field.
Southern’s success was fueled by standout individual and relay performances. On the women’s side, Darla Jagrosse earned Most Outstanding Field Performer honors, while the 4x100m relay team of Patrice Mansfield, Ella Maclean, Avery Winters, and Paige Wilks broke the NE10 Championship record. Mansfield also won the 100m hurdles, and Bella Sorrentino claimed the heptathlon title.
For the men, Osaretin Osagie was named Most Outstanding Track Performer after winning three events, including a record-breaking performance in the 400m hurdles that ranks among the top in NCAA Division II. Chris Amy earned Most Outstanding Field Performer honors, while Marquis Ward (100m) and Aidan Lanciault (decathlon) added gold medals.
With the sweep, Southern once again completed a rare feat: winning both the men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor championships in the same academic year — a distinction achieved only by the Owls in NE10 history.
