Both the Southern Connecticut State University men’s and women’s cross country teams won the NCAA Division II East Regional Championship on November 8 at Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Contoocook, N.H.
The men’s team won its fourth-straight NCAA Division II East Regional Championship, while Jonathon Volpe became the first SCSU cross country runner to win an individual regional championship in program history.
Women’s cross country’s Courtney Henchcliffe won the 2025 NCAA Division II Women’s Cross Country Regional to lead the Owls to their second regional championship in program history.
Previously, both the Southern Connecticut State University men’s and women’s cross country teams captured Northeast-10 Conference Championships in the same season, securing a dominant sweep at the 2025 NE10 Championships in Manchester, N.H.
Up next, both programs advance to the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championships on November 22 at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course in Kenosha, Wisc.
