Southern Connecticut State University is excited to announce an extraordinary opportunity for high school seniors applying for the 2024 academic year. To eliminate financial barriers and support accessibility to higher education, Southern is offering a limited-time application fee waiver for all prospective students. This initiative is part of the university’s ongoing commitment to making quality education attainable for all.
From Nov. 1 through Nov. 15, 2023, high school seniors can submit their applications to Southern free of charge. Traditionally, there is a $50 application fee, but during this exclusive two-week period, the fee is completely waived, making it easier for students to take their first step toward a bright future.
“We are thrilled to provide this opportunity for high school seniors to explore all that Southern has to offer,” said Dwayne Smith, interim president of Southern Connecticut State University. “We understand the financial challenges that many students and families face during the college application process. By removing the application fee, we aim to ensure that all students have an equal opportunity to access the exceptional education, resources, and community that Southern has to offer.”
To take advantage of this special offer, high school seniors should visit the Southern website at Southernct.edu/Admissions and complete the Southern first-year application during the specified period.
Prospective students are encouraged to explore the various undergraduate programs, scholarships, and student resources available at Southern by visiting during the upcoming Undergraduate Open House on Nov. 11, 2023, or by visiting the university’s website.
