The Southern Connecticut State University women’s cross country team clinched first place at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023 at Stanley Park in Westfield, Mass., hosted by American International College. Southern had five runners finish in the top 20 and had a total of 54 points to get the victory. This is the first conference title for Southern in program history.
In addition, the SCSU men’s cross country team clinched their second-straight NE10 title. Southern is the third school since 2000 to have both the men’s and women’s teams capture the NE10 title in the same season.
The Owls will prepare for the NCAA Division II East Regional Championships, to be held on Saturday, Nov. 4 in Hopkinton, N.H. The men’s program will be defending its 2023 regional championship, which it won for the first time in program history last season.  Go Owls!
