Senior chemistry major Gillian Ofori-Ntiamoah is gaining real-world laboratory experience that will lead to a career as a health specialist in the field of oncology.
A recent news story in the Patch discusses Ofori-Ntiamoah’s work on a research project which was supported by a grant that pharmaceutical company Alexion made to the SCSU Foundation and the university’s BioPath program.
A 2019 graduate of Hillhouse High School, Ofori-Ntiamoah is working with Associate Professor of Chemistry Todd Ryder, who said, “‘Gillian has made excellent progress on her research project since joining my lab in the fall…I’ve been very impressed by how quickly she has learned several new experimental techniques and how to operate the analytical instrumentation in the Chemistry Department.’”
