New Business School Dean Announced

Dr. Jess Boronico has been tapped as the university’s next dean for the School of Business

Boronico has compiled an extensive and outstanding record of academic business leadership positions at a variety of schools including NYIT, the University of New Haven, William Paterson University, and Monmouth University.

He also has had extensive experience guiding the successful accreditation of many universities, both in the United States and in China, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates, creating and implementing assessment protocols and embedding secondary assessments within various curricula that are so critical in AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation.

His expertise in fundraising is reflected in millions of dollars raised through donor and corporate philanthropy, including seven-figure gifts from major companies.

Boronico is also well-published, with works including the measurement of effectiveness of corporate social responsibility practices; mathematical modeling of global accreditation compliance practices; and perspectives on study abroad. He is the editor of two books, one on competitive advantage and another on business strategy, and a co-author on a book on Simulation in Operations Management.

A member of various honorific societies — including Golden Key, Pi Mu Epsilon, Phi Beta Kappa, and Mensa — Boronico has also been recognized for his teaching at both Rutgers University and the University of Pennsylvania.

He received his Ph.D. in Operations Research and Management Science from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and an MS and BS in Mathematics from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Boronico will start his new role in early June 2022.
