Southern alumnus Dom Amore, ’85, has been selected as the 2021 Connecticut Sportswriter of the Year by the National Sports Media Association. The NSMA announced the honor for Hartford Courant senior writer Amore on January 18; the organization will honor its award winners and Hall of Fame inductees during its 62nd awards weekend and national convention later this year.
This year marks the sixth time that Amore, who majored in journalism as a Southern undergraduate, has received this award from the NSMA, having also earned it in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2018.
