A slate of candidates has been presented for the Southern Connecticut State University 2021 Alumni Association Board of Directors elections. All alumni are considered members of the Alumni Association, which makes all graduates of the university eligible to vote for the Board of Directors.
Alumni nominee biographies, posted here, outline the accomplishments and interests of the candidates. The ballot is posted here. Alumni are asked to carefully review all information and make their selections for up to three (3) board members by Friday, May 28, 2021. Be sure to include your unique SCSU ID number on your ballot. If you are an alumnus and do not have a unique ID number, you may still vote — just fill out the ballot and include as much demographic information as possible so we can identify you in our database. Enter “please verify ID number” in the University ID field if you do not have one. Please vote only once, as votes with duplicate ID numbers and/or e-mail addresses will be invalid.
Each election cycle, our goal is to diversify our board as much as possible, and we can’t do that without your help through nominating your fellow alumni, and of course, voting with Southern’s best interest in mind — to ensure our alumni leaders truly reflect and embody the broad range of alumni, students, faculty, and staff that Southern represents.
Although this nomination/election cycle has passed, you can still be involved with the Alumni Association as a volunteer. Volunteers can attend and participate in Board meetings and are encouraged to participate in alumni events as volunteers or guests. Please contact the Office of Alumni Relations at (203) 392-6500 or e-mail Director of Alumni Relations Greg Bernard, ’04, if you are interested.
