Ken Sweeten Receives College Sports Communicators’ 25-Year Award

Ken Sweeten, associate director of athletics and athletic communications at Southern Connecticut State University, has received the 25-Year Award from College Sports Communicators (CSC), recognizing more than two decades of service and impact in the athletic communications profession.

The award honors CSC members who have completed at least 25 years in the field and are selected by the organization’s Special Awards Committee. Sweeten will be recognized throughout the spring and formally honored at the CSC UNITE26 Convention, June 7–10, in Las Vegas.

With a career spanning more than 29 years, Sweeten has played a key role in elevating athletic storytelling and digital communications at Southern, while also mentoring more than 30 undergraduate and graduate assistants who have gone on to work in collegiate and professional sports organizations.
