Southern Connecticut State University graduates Victor A. Gonzalez, ’14, and Katie Barry, ’18, have been named to the Hartford Business Journal’s prestigious “40 Under Forty” list for 2025, recognizing outstanding young professionals making a difference across the region.
Gonzalez, branch manager at NBT Bank in West Hartford, was also recently honored as the 2024 Young Professional of the Year by the West Hartford Chamber of Commerce. A New Britain resident, he is the founder of Ties That Tie, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth through mentorship and life skills. He also serves on several boards and remains deeply committed to financial empowerment and community advocacy.
Barry, business development and sales manager at Marion Manufacturing, has built an impressive career over 11 years with the company, rising from a floor operator to a leadership role. She has led efforts to streamline operations, grow client relationships, and promote Marion’s visibility and impact within the industry. Barry also serves on multiple boards, aligning business goals with workforce sustainability and community development.
