Three Owls Qualify for NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships

Southern Connecticut track & field standouts Cameron Belton, ’25; Natanael Barbosa Torres, ’25; and Hannah Caiola, ’26 have qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships, set for March 13-15 at the Indiana Farm Bureau Fall Creek Pavilion in Indianapolis, Ind.

Belton, a four-time national qualifier, recorded the sixth best Shot Put throw in Division II this season (18.24m) and won his fourth straight NE10 title. Barbosa Torres makes his national debut after throwing 18.20m, ranking eighth in DII and earning his second NE10 silver medal.

Caiola heads to nationals in the 400m Dash after setting an NCAA DII record in the 300m and running the third fastest 400m time in DII this season (53.4). She swept the 200m and 400m titles at the NE10 Championships and held top conference times in five events.

Belton and Barbosa Torres will compete in the Shot Put, and Caiola in the 400m Dash, with live coverage available on NCAA.com.
