At the 2024 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Emporia, Kansas, SCSU men’s track and field standout Jordan Davis, ’24, won his second NCAA Division II National Championship in the javelin throw and broke Division II, meet, and facility records with a throw of 84.45 meters. With this distance of 84.45 meters, Davis is now ranked tenth in the world, is the top American in world rankings, fourth in collegiate history, and sixth overall in U.S. history.
Davis is the first SCSU athlete to win two NCAA Championships since Bill Borden won back-to-back hammer throw titles in 1981 and 1982. In addition, Davis is the fourth male athlete in SCSU history to win two NCAA titles.
