SCSU women’s track & field first-year student standout Anna-Sashia Jones was named the Northeast 10 Conference Outdoor Track Rookie of the Year, as announced by the conference on Tuesday, May 23, 2023.
The honor is Jones’ second major award of the year after also earning NE10 Indoor Track Rookie of the Year honors. At this year’s outdoor meet, Jones won the 100 Meter Championship with a time of 12.00 as well as the 4×100 Relay Championship with a time of 46.39 that broke the conference record of 46.60, also set by SCSU in 2014.
