The Southern Connecticut State University men’s track and field team won its sixth straight Northeast 10 Conference Outdoor Championship after totaling 268.5 points while winning five individual championships. The championships were held May 5-6, 2023, in Hooksett, N.H.
The Owls previously won the 2023 NE10 Indoor Championship as well as the Cross Country Championship. Bernardo Mbaya also collected Most Outstanding Field Athlete of the Meet after winning the Shot Put Championship while also finishing second in the hammer throw and discus.
The SCSU women’s track and field team finished as the 2023 Northeast 10 Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships runner-up, which was the Owls’ 11th second-place finish all-time and its highest finish since 2018. Southern totaled 156.50 points while winning three championships on the second day.
