Philosophy Professor David Pettigrew has made it his life’s mission to make sure genocide victims are remembered, both locally and internationally. In addition to teaching the “Introduction to Holocaust and Genocide Studies: Stories of Resistance, Rescue, and Survival” course at Southern, he also volunteers with the state to prepare public school teachers to teach about the Bosnian genocide, the Holocaust, and genocidal denial.
