Educating the Healthcare Workforce of Tomorrow

Sandra Bulmer, dean of the College of Health and Human Services, appeared on WTNH’s “CT Style” program this week to talk with Alyssa Taglia about interprofessional collaborations and the opening of the university’s new College of Health and Human Services building.

“To be able to provide [our students] with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities equal to the private universities, we’re training the workforce of Connecticut with the best possible facilities equipment, and we’re training the people that are going to take care of us and our family members and our neighbors,” said Bulmer.

The 94,750-square-foot space serves as a hub for the majority of the renowned health and human services programs — fostering stronger interdisciplinary connections between students, faculty, and staff — and dramatically enhancing student learning experiences.
